Coming Soon

1891. Painter Paul Gauguin is already well known in Parisian artistic circles but is tired of the moral, political, and aesthetic conventions of the so-called civilised Europe. Abandoning his wife and children, he exiles himself to the other side of the world and arrives in Tahiti with the intention to reinvent his art, as a free man. He ventures ever deeper into the jungle despite his solitude, poverty, and poor health. Here he encounters Tehura, who will become his wife and muse, inspiring his most iconic works of art. This laconic, lyrical and cinematic adventure that goes beyond observing artistic creation is well worth watching.
